How Can I Find a Mortgage?
At The Mortgage Company, we see clients from every walk of life, with numerous situations and concerns individual to them. With our bespoke and tailored approach, we use our product and criteria knowledge of our lenders to find the perfect solution. Over the past year, we have had a number of success stories, a few of which our Residential Mortgage Advisor, Tom Appleyard, would like to share with you.
- A client came to us with a run down property with an abundance of potential that they wished to purchase. Every mainstream and specialist lender that our client approached either refused to consider the property, deemed in un-mortgageable or offered him a mortgage he couldn’t afford. Using our vast knowledge of the lenders out there, we were able to source a product with the Ecology Building Society (with an additional 10% deposit to boot!), which allowed our client to continue with their dream of renovating their perfect family home.
- A client recently came to us after selling their property through Robert Ellis. After months of searching for the perfect property, they finally found what they were looking for. As time was of the essence, the client needed a mortgage as quickly as possible. We were able to find her the perfect product within 48 hours.
- A couple in their mid 50’s came to us after a number of years renting at £850 a month for a 4 bedroom They wished to find a mortgage but were under the impression that their age and income would restrict their options, forcing them to downsize on their current accommodation. Following a thorough assessment of their situation, we were able to source a lender that would allow them to look at properties worth £250,000, a full £100,000 more than their previous offers! Safe to say the couple were over the moon and went on to purchase a 5 bedroom home, with monthly payments that were far less than their current rent.
- Following a marital split, a client was concerned that he would be forced to sell the home he bought with his partner so that they could split the equity. After establishing his personal and financial situation, we were able to extend his mortgage term and raise the capital on his property, which allowed him to buy out his ex-partner.
